Pursuant to its mission of providing a full range of professional banking and financial services accessible in all areas of the country especially in the countryside, the Philippine Postal Savings Bank, Inc. (Postbank) has again extended its reach to Mindanao Region. Known to be the “Gateway to Western Mindanao”, Postbank transferred its Zamboanga Branch to Dipolog City last February 23, 2015 and inaugurated last March 12, 2015. The latest branch, located at Felicidad II, Quezon Avenue, Miputak, Dipolog City is the new branch in the Mindanao Area that is expected to service the clientele within the Region.
The blessing and inauguration was attended by distinguished guests from the province of Zamboanga del Norte headed by its Vice-Governor, Atty. Senen O. Angeles and Mayor Evelyn T. Uy of Dipolog City. Joining them during the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony were Postbank President and CEO Cesar N. Sarino and SVP Higinio C. Fabian. Rev. Fr. Demdert O. Castillon led the blessing and invocation.
In his message, Postbank SVP Higinio C. Fabian, who is also the Head of the Branch Banking Group, welcomed all the guests during the inauguration. According to him, Postbank’s 5-Year Plan gives utmost priority, among others, to the relocation of branches where the Bank can serve the countryside as Management envisions the Bank to grow and subsequently contribute significantly to the widespread progress of the City and its constituencies. Vice-Governor Angeles and Mayor Uy, in their short messages congratulated the Bank for opening a branch in Dipolog City.
PPC Chairman and Postbank President & CEO Cesar N. Sarino thanked everyone for welcoming Postbank at Dipolog City. He underscored the continuous support of the Philippine Postal Corporation to the Bank’s various undertakings, citing the synergy of operations and ongoing efforts of both institutions complementing each other’s services in many areas that will redound to the benefit of the public.
In line with its mandate, the newly opened Dipolog Branch is expected to assist the government of Zamboanga del Norte and Dipolog City in realizing its aim of providing its people with a better quality of life thru sustained and balanced economic growth by increasing productivity to address the basic needs of the people as well as elevate their income and standard of living.
